It is like staying with a abusive spouse.

Sorry, Huck - disagree with ya, she should leave the GOP. This is how I see it and why I think she should go her own way. Where to,I would not even dare to guess. But, to stay is just asking for more abuse by the GOP elites.

For now, I think I have to agree with Huckabee. Right now, third party and independent candidates have no political future. Only in very rare cases do they make viable candidates on the local and state levels, and even more rarely on the national scene.

Ross Perot garnered only about 5% of the national vote in 1992 at a time when conservatives were angry at Bush 41 for his "read my lips" broken promise, and Democrats couldn't get too excited about "Candidate Bubba." This was before Perot was exposed as a lunatic.

The GOP is at a crossroads. If it continues down a moderate path, leaving social conservatives as well as fiscal conservatives behind, I can see the party breaking up. Then true conservatives will have an alternative.

I have to agree with Huckabee..... I like Huckabee alot and he is a no nonsense kind of guy that makes sense and reaches the American public. I think he is saying these thing partially selfishly because, putting both of them on the same ticket in 2012 would be an awesome thing to do.

If the GOP is trying to regroup and get the rank back in step, she and he would be like the dynamic duo.

I have read alot about Huck and Sara and all I can say is, wow, they will be a hard ticket to beat. I think she is hitting the road to be groomed, she won't lose her folksy way nor will he. Part of Huckabee's appeal is because he is down to earth and his ducks in a row when it comes to speaking on any subject matter. Sara I believe needs to do just that.

Lets hope she stays and gets the right grooming, it will be an awesome election in 2012 if that happens.

Looks like I am out numbered here, but I stand by my statement.

I believe she should bail on the GOP and go Independent or Libertarian.

Politics is a brutal business. Raise your head about the crowd and they will start shooting at you. Palin is head and shoulders above the rest. She draws a lot of fire.

I agree with Huckabee also. I believe it is going to be easier to reform the Republican Party than start a third party that will have an electable candidate. The Republican party and the third party would be so fractured that it would give the Democrats the upper hand. I agree with Opie, Palin is above the rest. I believe Palin can bring back a sense of morality and honor to the Republican Party.
