The fear in their reporting on HB 915.

Do you want to know when you have the attention and are perceived as threat to the hoplophobia media, when they report on a bill that is pro-gun like this. Yep, that was some pretty slanted and bias reporting. They even used some classic tricks, like pulling out some law enforcement types or organisations to say how bad of an idea it is.

My favorite part was the Clayton County Sheriff statement on," How untrained people will have guns in the streets". I just about fell out of my chair on that one.

Rep. Timothy Bearden has written up a bill, that will be released on Jan. 10th, called the Second Amendment Protection Act.

Update: The Gun Owners of America is backing the GCO and HB915, leaving the following message:

Gun Owners of America Weighs in on HB 915
From Gun Owners of America’s Executive Director, Larry Pratt:

We look forward to passage of HB 915. We appreciate Rep. Bearden’s leadership and GeorgiaCarry.org’s effort to mobilize public support for this much-needed legislation.

Question I have is, where is the NRA on this, I know the GCO was on Cam and Company, but how about some support here fellas?

I had this in the queue to blog about. Thanks for reminding me.

I don't know why the NRA isn't publicly supporting Georgiacarry.org and their push for this bill. I keep asking on Cam and Company, but never even get an acknowledgement. The spot they did with GC on nranews was like 20 seconds. Is the NRA mad that grassroots GC is getting more done in one year than they have the entire decade?

I truly don't know why the NRA and their followers are saying and doing what they are.

As GCO member, I know we've gotten more done in our 18 some odd months done, than the NRA has in 100 years in the state of Georgia.

Is this the reason to be mad or snub us.No. We can work together, the NRA just needs to remember this is our state, not theirs. So, some manners and courtesies will be appreciated.
